Operating a Class 4 laser is a serious task and attention to safety is something we take very seriously. Kobra Laser Cleaning is a highly trained, certified and insured company. Not sure if we can come to your workplace? Review our qualifications below and decide for yourself.

ANSI Z136.1 STANDARDS

While Ontario currently does not enforce strict regulations on lasers, Kobra Laser Cleaning has built it's standards around the ANSI Z136.1 Standards for Safe Laser Use. We maintain strict adherence to these standards in order to keep our employees, our customers, bystanders, and the environment safe. On every job, we utilize a highly trained Laser Safety Officer (LSO), an Industrial Laser Operator trained technician, a Laser Safety Plan, a Laser Safety Checklist, laser safety barriers and all necessary PPE for our workers. All of our employees also hold current certifications in the following:

Lockout-Tagout

In order to ensure our safety and yours, we employee have trained our staff in LOTO procedures. We supply our own LOTO kits and maintain our own locks and tags.

MEWP

Your particular job may require us to work at heights. To increase the safety of our staff, we utilize mobile elevated work platforms whenever possible. Our staff are all certified to operate both scissor lifts or boom platforms.

Fall Arrest

Going hand-in-hand with MEWP, fall arrest is another non-negotiable standard of safety when working at heights. Our staff is trained in fall arrest and we maintain our own supply of fall arrest equipment including harnesses and lanyards.

WHIMS

While we do not work directly with chemicals, we definitely work around chemicals. We hold current certifications in WHIMS, HAZMAT Awareness, and HAZMAT Operations.

Laser Safety Officer (LSO)

Certified through the Laser Institute of America, our LSO is tasked with the development of our Laser Safety Plan, Job size up, hazard risk assessment, and assurance of safe operations at your workplace.

Fire Extinguishers

Although there is almost no risk of fire with pulse laser usage, we never want to be caught unprepared. Anywhere our lasers go, our fire extinguishers go as well.

Standard First Aid & CPR

You never know when a medical emergency may arise. Our staff are all trained and current in Standard FA, CPR. & AED. We provide our staff with their own first aid kits so they are able to help themselves or provide care to anyone else in the vicinity that may be having a medical emergency.

Ladder Safety

Some jobs may require us to be on ladders when a mobile elevated work platform cannot be used. We are ensure that our staff is trained in ladder safety before any ladders go up.
